1800 Amp CSA/UL Rating:

Vector Drive Systems Inc. is U.L. and CSA Certified up to 1800 Amps, after completion of one of the largest systems that we have ever designed and built.

The unit submitted for full CSA audit and review, tested our abilities to design a large scale system that was compact. The CSA test unit also had to have dynamic braking as part of the 1800A drive package.

Vector Drive Systems Inc. now has one of the highest current ratings for VFD integration and systems design in CANADA.

The attached photo illustrates how compact the new Yaskawa modular inverter components can be. The cabinet is only 1970mm Wide or 78", and has a depth of just 1010mm or about 39". The top hat covers both the braking transistors and the dynamic braking resistor banks. This configuration gave us the ability to exhaust the VFD cooling air straight through the resistor and out of the pagoda.

We cover the entire Yaskawa Electric inverter range from 1/8th HP up to the largest modular VFD inverter at 1800HP. Our higher CSA/UL Certification will allow us to process, design and build all sizes more quickly or our customers.
